My friend Heather wrote this song back in the 90s when we were both toddlers. I fell in love with it then and, when I realized that I could play songs in a key that I can sing it in, this was one of the songs I wanted to do.
She's come to see my show a few times and the first few times, and didn't notice that I was doing her song until the end of the chorus.
She very kindly said that it was because I had made it my own.
That felt pretty good.
She's an awesome songwriter. I want to do SO many of her songs!
